The Position: We are currently seeking a Commercial Strategy Manager. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Strategy Manager, as Commercial Strategy Manager you will work closely with senior members of the Commercial Team, the candidate will be responsible for the development and delivery of insight-driven prospective partner proposals and pitches to support the overarching commercial and partnership strategy of Williams Racing. Working in a fast-paced environment, the candidate will play a significant role in delivering best in class, creative proposals that differentiate Williams Racing amongst its competitors and help to secure on-brand partnerships. Key Responsibilities - Working with the Commercial Team on developing prospect brief’s and leading on the development of high-quality, insight-driven prospect proposals and pitches. - Define prospects business and brand objectives through research and develop engaging brand narratives and activation concepts to deliver compelling commercial opportunities. - Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Williams Racing commercial and brand strategies to ensure output reinforces our brand positioning and always has points of differentiation in a crowded market. - Understand and utilise proprietary brand research and syndicated market research tools and intelligence platforms to generate insights that inform activation strategy and solve the challenges faced by prospective partners. - Ideate new activation assets and platforms to commercialise with partners. - Work alongside the fan engagement team in New York to understand how new digital assets and fan experiences (e.g. new app, AR assets and fan pop-ups) can be aligned to prospect objectives and strategy. - Continuously improve the communication of the commercial strategy to internal stakeholders through the development and management of documentation including rate-cards, rights and assets matrixes and valuations. - Ensuring all documentation development is manage efficiently and on time to ensure the Commercial Team can react to market demands. To be considered for this position, you must have: - Minimum of 4 years within an agency environment either marketing, advertising or sports. - A marketing or related business degree. - Has a creative mind set and able to demonstrate an understanding of business needs. - High level of IT literacy including MS Office and Adobe Suite. - Capable of representing the team’s interests credibly, capably and creatively. - Familiar with the commercial working environment. - Adaptable to a dynamic, fast paced department with high demands on document development. - High attention to detail and comfortable managing and working with data sets. - Ability to work with multiple internal stakeholders and to tight deadlines. As one of the world's leading Formula One teams, the company has secured 16 FIA Formula One World Championship titles since its foundation in 1977.   The position:    We are looking to recruit a Composite Design Engineer to work with colleagues and the related engineering functions within Vehicle Design to support in the delivery of the most advanced, performant and reliable designs to agreed timeframes; optimising mass, stiffness and design for manufacture. The Composite Design Engineer will be self-motivated, innovative and capable of working generally unsupervised to challenging deadlines.   The role:   This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership and responsibility for specific car components or assemblies that can deliver performance to the car with the minimum supervision. With a proven track record of working within a competitive motorsport environment, together with strong technical experience, our Race Engineers will be at the forefront of our future success.   The role: This role, which will involve significant travel, will support the existing Senior Race Engineer and Performance Engineer team on one of our race cars. You will eventually be responsible for all aspects of car performance at a race event, including definition of the car set-up, organisation of the test programmes and definition of the car build specification. Initially, you will work in a traditional Performance Engineering role before being introduced to the Race Engineering position. This position should appeal to current and experienced F1 Performance Engineers who are looking to take on increased responsibility and have an ambition to be a Race Engineer. Current and experienced Race Engineers in other motorsport series who wish to move to F1 would also be highly suited to this exciting new role.   Aside from the prerequisite trackside experience, we require candidates to be skilled in: - Preparation and presentation of reports, graphs etc both trackside and at the factory. This will require the ability to complete pre and post event analysis of car and driver performance. - A vision for engineering software that can improve our trackside operation. - Preparation and maintenance of engineering technical worksheets and operational procedures. - Assumes responsibilities and duties delegated by the Head of Vehicle Performance and Chief Race Engineer.   Education and work experience: - Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. - Proven trackside experience with previous single seaters. - Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar role.   Specialized knowledge and skills: - Proven experience with race engineering of single seaters & data acquisition systems. - Good understanding of lap time simulation software and vehicle dynamics/aerodynamics as it relates to racing cars. - Experience with Matlab/Simulink, VBA or other programming software desirable. - Strong communication skills, written and verbal. - Able to prioritise the workload, job lists and manage time efficiently. - Superior attention to detail and high standard work. - Ability and desire to work as part of a team, putting the overall collective goals ahead of personal ambition.   What can Williams offer? Collaborating with the Group Principal / Head of Composites Design, you will be responsible for undertaking and guiding a range of designs from initial concepts through to prototype production working in collaboration with other departments.   Key operational Duties: - Layout of design schemes which respect structural requirements, packaging, aerodynamics & composite manufacturing techniques - Calculation work and production of system documentation - Conduct design reviews independently or with Group Principal Engineer / Head of Department. - Demonstrate significant experience to be drawn on by others, be a point of contact for support and mentorship. - End-to-end ownership for projects incorporating manufacture, build, testing and racing, including fault analysis and resolution. - Support checking responsibility for detailed drawings, including design review against specification and previous designs. - Driving continuous improvement and promote autonomous creativity. - Some international travel may be required.   Core Skills:   The candidate will have an in depth understanding of composites materials engineering and science together with detailed knowledge of relevant composites manufacturing technologies. It is expected that the candidate would have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification supported by design experience in motorsport, aerospace or a related field. An understanding of composites stress analysis will be required for preliminary sizing. Strong CAD skills are necessary, ideally with experience of NX, however training will be provided for conversion from other CAD systems. The candidate will have an in depth understanding of fundamental engineering principles and have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification supported by design experience in a top-level motorsport field. Experience with composite tooling & manufacture would be advantageous. Strong CAD skills are necessary, ideally with experience of NX, however training will be provided for conversion from other CAD systems.   Effective and efficient people management skills are key to this role along with a strong knowledge of contemporary F1 technology and design.
