Electronics & Calibration Technician.
A temporary position involving the assembly and calibration of electronics controlled aero instrumentation.
The project involves a large volume of modular electronic systems requiring construction to exacting standards with a rapidly advancing deadline.
You will have a flexible practical mindset and can-do attitude along with the ability follow exacting assembly drawings, verbal instructions and procedures.
An Understanding of principles & accuracy of Calibration work, especially those involving pressure systems and environmental conditioning.
Must be available for potential early start / late finish to utilise available testing facilities.
The ideal candidate would have experience of:
Operation in a clean anti-static environment.
Working with small tools.
Handling small surface mount PCB and flexi assemblies. Fitting of PCBs into assemblies.
Precision surface mount PCB soldering.
Stripping, tinning 26 /28 AWG wire to small assemblies.
Wire stripping and crimping on Autosport Double Density connectors.
Inspecting and working on assemblies with a Stereo Dynascope.
Detailed hand application of silicone sealants and coatings to PCB assemblies.
Attention to detail and ability to spot potential faults and problems.
It would be advantageous to have IPC training such as IPC J-STD-001.
