Williams Advanced Engineering are currently recruiting for a Technical Procurement Officer to with a strong background in metallic machining for motorsport projects.
Duties will be wide ranging and varied including leading and implementing the metallics commodity strategy for the overall business, and procurement of components and systems on Motorsport Programmes. Reporting to a Procurement Team Leader you will be required to engage with the race team and a wide range of internal departments to support your procurement. You will be responsible for ensuring that components are delivered in a professional manner, that internal stakeholder expectations are met along with the internal financial and timing requirements. The role will be mostly direct, with assistance from the indirect procurement department.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, being able to work unsupervised using their own initiative, and be able to work with a small and highly ambitious team to a pole position benchmark. In an internal stakeholder facing role, a calm approach and professional demeanour will be required. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a deep technical understanding of motorcars, and an excellent knowledge of the local, national and internal motorsport supply base.
