  • Overview

    The key purpose of this role is to support the business as a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer working alongside Iconic brands. Duties include being a recognised first point of contact for suppliers in relation to quality, as a subject matter expert in quality and manufacturing techniques as well as leading problem resolution and other continuous improvement initiatives and activities, using your knowledge and experience to facilitate the development and implementation of a robust supply chain.


    You will ensure the management of supplier concerns are concluded in a timely manner and will participate in and lead PPAP and APQP activities externally with suppliers to become a key member of a team with a broad remit supporting the quality of a high performance, niche vehicle. As a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer you will be responsible for the quality of purchased parts from the suppliers you are assigned. Working within a small team your key objectives will inclue Supplier Quality Assurance activities within the supply chain including: PPAP, process audit and surveillance visit, the management of supplier quality performance, including verification and implementation of corrective action and managing the parts quality as an implication of product and process changes.


    You will have experience gained in a manufacturing quality or supply chain quality environment, preferably in Automotive, Aerospace or similar sectors.and a minimum HNC/Degree in Engineering or Business-related discipline (or equivalent). You will also possess a full UK Driving Licence and the abilty to perform basic inspection / measurement / material-based tasks (read drawings, use measurement equipment and understand material data sheets.
