    We are currently recruiting for a Battery Build Technician to join our team.

     

    Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this is a key role where the successful individual will be responsible for manufacture, assembly and production of battery packs for internal and commercial customers whilst adhering to established Hazardous voltage safe working practices.

     

    Duties will be wide ranging and varied and will include testing, inspection, characterisation and allocating cells for battery packs; assembly of finished battery packs for delivery to customers; arming of battery pack to Hazardous Voltage; safety checks and testing of battery packs; installing Battery Packs onto test rigs with their associated sub-assemblies; carrying out servicing and event turnarounds of battery packs; developing build process and build work instructions.

     

    The successful candidate will have the relevant experience in mechanical, automotive, electrical or aerospace engineering. Experience of vehicle battery systems would be advantageous. The ability to read and understand CAD drawings is essential and the successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of proprietary PC software e.g. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
