We are seeking a Tool Path Programmer to produce high quality patterns /jigs/race car components and ensure they are produced in the most efficient, cost effective way whilst keeping lead-times to a minimum. You will be supplying program information to machinists operating three and five axis machines using a diverse material range. The TPP will ensure that all relevant data regarding scheduling of work is kept up to date and accurate and ensuring that Production Control is kept informed where programming problems are causing delays, or any other information that is relevant to the part production. This role is based in the Pattern Shop and the role will require you to proactively liaise with both fellow programmers and the machinists within the Pattern Shop department and other areas within the business to ensure best practice is established and utilised.
Ideally you will be experienced in producing high quality programs within sufficient time to meet the demands set out by the development and production plans for the formula one race car as well as external customers. However, training will be available for the successful candidate.
You will be required to liaise with other departments such as the Drawing Office and the Composite Department; therefore, good written and verbal communication skills are critical to the success of this role.
