We are currently seeking a Software Developer to join our Vehicle Science team. The purpose of this role is to assist the Team Lead of Software and Systems Vehicle Science in developing, maintaining and researching software for use within Vehicle Science. The Vehicle Science Software and Systems are critical to the activities of the Vehicle Science and Vehicle Performance groups at Williams.
Some of the key responsibilities include; supporting the development of in-house numerical Vehicle Science models, research and develop methods and algorithms to improve the performance of the off line and real-time applications within Vehicle Science. Further responsibilities include; helping develop new applications to support the race team where identified and help the department team lead with supporting other design & modelling activities within the whole company. The person coming into this role can also expect to be involved in state-of-the-art simulator work supporting our research, test and race driver development programmes.
The successful candidate will have programming ability ranging from GUI in .Net (C#) to high performance code in C++. Have good communication and analytical skills and be able to work to tight deadlines, often under pressure. They will also be highly self-motivated, thrive in a challenging environment and have a flexible approach to working hours.
