    Williams Advanced Engineering is the technology and engineering services business of the Williams Group. We are currently recruiting for a Legal Counsel to join our growing team on a permanent basis.


    Reporting to the Head of Legal – Williams Advanced Engineering, this is a key role where the successful individual will be involved in a wide range of issues relating to the Williams Advanced Engineering business.


    This role provides the opportunity to develop legal and commercial skills and gain in-depth knowledge of the business.  The role will be varied and will appeal to candidates who are pro-active, think commercially and can operate effectively across the business including advising members of senior management on important legal matters.


    Key responsibilities will include: providing general, day-to-day legal support for the Williams Advanced Engineering business; drafting and/or negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts including design and development agreements, collaboration agreements, technology agreements, supply agreements and IP agreements; and providing advice to Williams Advanced Engineering’s support functions.  


    The successful candidate will ideally be a commercial and/or IP lawyer with at least 3 years’ PQE (gained in-house or in private practice) and will have relevant experience working in a similar role.  A fluent communicator, with a highly analytical approach and strong attention to detail, the successful candidate will have the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and work robustly under pressure.
