We are seeking an experienced Stress Engineer to join our busy and dynamic Stress Office. Reporting to the Head of Structural Engineering, the candidate will perform structural analysis on F1 car components using both finite elements and traditional methods. The role encompasses working with the Design Office to ensure components released to Production meet the set strength, stiffness and mass requirements. You will produce structural reports which fully record the analysis performed to allow the engineering drawings to be approved by the Head of Structural Engineering. The Stress Engineer will also write test requests to the Prototype and Test Department, liaising with this department to ensure that the test is carried out efficiently and on time. As well as this, you be writing test requests to the Track Engineers and will be required to analyse the results. With a proven track record working in a similar role preferably in motorsport, the successful candidate will play an important part in assisting to improve the departments performance, whilst maintaining a high standard of staff and department presentation.
