We are currently seeking a Junior Production Controller / Scheduler to join our Production team. The successful candidate will be be assigned a mentor to work alongside in order learn the dynamic systems we use for the control and scheduling of all manufacturing operations within the Pattern Shop/Composite Department. There will be a high focus on optimising the current Pattern Shop finite system and the Composites finite scheduler.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or similarly qualified individual to extend their experience and gain further related qualifications as required. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, with excellent attention to detail and a positive approach to their work. With strong IT Skills and the ability to communicate effectively cross functionally, the individual will have a keen desire to succeed within this dynamic and fast paced organisation. The successful candidate will be using finite schedulers to forecast where capacity constraints are and communicating potential shortfalls back to the Production Manager and Head of Programmes. Additional operational duties will include optimising the department’s resources by communicating with designers and other departments to ensure that design intent delivers the correct outcome, as well as maintaining departmental databases to produce necessary reports when required.
This is a fast paced environment and to succeed in the above role you will need to be adaptable, demonstrate initiative along with the ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines. Also, problem-solving, along with attention to detail. With a collaborative approach, good communications and organization skills, you will enjoy working as part of a team and relish a challenge.
